SteeleWay Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

SteeleWay is a private proof-of-delivery (POD) app used internally by a single small same-day courier / freight delivery business (the "operator"). It is not a consumer app: it is access-restricted with no public self-signup. Accounts are created only by the operator for themselves and their contract drivers. This policy explains exactly what personal data the app collects, why, and how it is used.

Who this policy applies to

The only users of SteeleWay are the operator and their authorized drivers. Some of the data the app records (for example a recipient's printed name or signature at delivery) describes the customers and consignees the business delivers to. All of it is collected solely to document that a delivery took place and to produce the proof-of-delivery record the business sends to its customer.

Data we collect and why

The four categories below are the complete set of personal data SteeleWay collects. Every category is collected for app functionality only, is linked to your identity (your account), is never used to track you across other apps or websites, and is never sold or shared with data brokers or advertisers.

Data typeWhat it isWhy we collect it
Email address The email you sign in with. Account creation, sign-in / authentication, and account deletion. Required to use the app.
Name Person names entered or captured in the delivery flow — the driver's name recorded with the delivery and the recipient / signer's printed name captured at delivery. Rendered into the proof-of-delivery document so the customer can see who delivered the freight and who received it.
Photos or videos Optional photos a driver takes during a delivery (securement, bill of lading, and freight condition photos). Attached to the delivery as supporting evidence and included in the proof-of-delivery record. Photos are always optional; the app never forces a photo.
Signatures (other user content) The finger-drawn signature image captured on-screen at delivery. Stored with the delivery and embedded in the proof-of-delivery document as evidence the freight was received.

How your data is stored

Data is stored in the app's backend (a hosted Supabase project — Postgres database and file storage) over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Photos and signature images are held in access-controlled storage and are only readable by authorized accounts of the business. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and the app does not track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing

Personal data is not sold and is not shared for advertising or tracking. The completed proof-of-delivery document (which may contain the recipient name, signature, and delivery photos) is sent by the operator to the specific customer of that delivery, using a transactional email service, for the sole purpose of documenting that delivery. That is the only routine sharing that occurs.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account directly in the app: open the account screen (person icon on the home screen), tap Delete account, and confirm. This permanently removes your login credential so you can no longer sign in. Completed deliveries and their proof-of-delivery records are retained as the business's own records but are no longer tied to your name. This is a real server-side deletion, not an "email us to delete" request. If you also want delivery records that reference you removed, contact us at the email below and we will handle the request.

Children

SteeleWay is a workplace tool for a courier business and is not directed to children. It is not available for public signup and is not intended for anyone under 13.
